PERIODONCIO(TO)? – note: both forms “periodoncio” and “periodonto” are used, meaning the same thing
Es el conjunto de tejidos que conforman el órgano de sostén y
protección del elemento dentario.
El periodonto normal proporciona el apoyo necesario para mantener
los dientes en funcion.
Consiste en cuatro elementos: encia, ligamento, cemento y hueso
alveolar; cada uno tiene sus propias caracteristicas pero funcionan
como unidd.
