เป็น small-scale computer system – part of machine
ใช้ใน digital watches , cameras , microwave ovens , washing machines , boilers , fridges , smart TVs , cars
– Embedded มักจะใช้แบบ Low power consumption
Microcontroller -> brain of embedded system
– computer process มีmemory , input/output peripherals
Input : มีได้ทั้ง digital /analog inputs , inputs มักจะ reading data from sensors eg temperature sensor , light sensor , ultrasound sensor
– และ type of input devices eg keys , buttons
Output : เป็นได้ทั้ง digital / analog ouputs , และ output มักจะเป็นแบบ display , driving motors , actuators
Communication interfaces : ผ่านทาง Ethernet , USB , CAN (Controller Area Network) , Infrared , ZigBee , Wifi , Bluetooth
