After undergoing a lung biopsy, the right lung has almost no “clean” area left 🥹. The doctor explained that there is no fluid, but instead thickening of the pleural tissue together with inflammation of the lung caused by cancer.
This explains the increased shortness of breath. The pulmonologist mentioned that nothing can be done at this stage, and they must wait for the oncologist to continue treatment to see if the medications will be effective in controlling the disease.

Sau khi sinh thiết phổi, phổi phải hầu như không còn vùng “sạch” nào 🥹. Bác sĩ nói không có dịch, nhưng là do mô màng phổi dày lên, cùng với viêm phổi do ung thư gây ra.
Đây chính là nguyên nhân khiến khó thở nhiều hơn. Bác sĩ chuyên khoa phổi cho biết hiện tại không thể can thiệp gì, phải chờ bác sĩ ung bướu tiếp tục điều trị bằng thuốc để xem thuốc có hiệu quả và kiểm soát được bệnh hay không.
Bác sĩ ung bướu cũng đã gửi mẫu sinh thiết đi làm xét nghiệm đột biến gen để tìm thêm phương án điều trị, vì bệnh nhân đã dùng thuốc nhắm trúng đích suốt 14 năm và gần như không còn nhiều lựa chọn 😅.

Ngày 15/10 sẽ bắt đầu hóa trị bằng Gemcitabine để tạm thời kiểm soát bệnh. Nếu kết quả xét nghiệm gen cho thấy có đột biến có thể điều trị bằng thuốc nhắm trúng đích thì sau này có thể chuyển sang sử dụng loại thuốc đó.
