บางโรค อาจจะมี liable to relapse and remit eg urticaria อาจะไม่เห็นวันที่มาตรวจแล้ว ,โดยมีอาการ red , itchy , swelling และหายไปภายใน 24 ชม
factor ที่ทำให้เป็นมากขึ้น เช่น มีประวัติ exposure to bright sunlight ทำให้เกิด recurrent attacks of herpes simplex
บางโรค อาจจะ present หลายๆ stages eg chicken-pox
บางโรคเป็น crop of lesion eg Lymphomatoid papulosis ตอนแรกเป็น red-brown papules , ต่อมาเป็น hemorrhagic , crusted , necrotic , heal เป็น scar
